Struggles in Searching: Conclusion

I did not set out in this to provide solutions to the problems I faced. Rather, I wanted to share my experiences with anyone out there who could benefit from hearing them. One of my biggest supporters in my most recent search was a member of my cohort that was going through a similar situation to myself. We were both holding interim positions in departments we had worked for in the past and were struggling to find our next steps in our careers. I was comforted in sharing stories of failure, frustrations, disappointments, and eventually successes with her, and I hope you have gained a little comfort in reading my posts here.
