This week was a trial of the system I described last week. I did my best to watch what I ate, worked out (mostly) every day, and only treated myself a few times. Overall, I would say it was a grand success! I adjusted a few things with my tracking spreadsheets, so those should be much more useful going forward. I will start this thing for real (fo realz) tomorrow.
Oh, and Lauryn and I celebrated 3 months of marriage and 5 years of knowing each other this weekend! We went to a new Mexican place (Cantina Laredo), and saw Hidden Figures at the Alamo Drafthouse. I would highly recommend both, but definitely Hidden Figures because it a) tells a tale of wonderfully smart women triumphing over systematic oppression to help a nation that never helped them and b) how awesome NASA is (once it recognizes that smart people don’t have to be white and male).
